Lacing Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

Lacing is a study app for beer certification exams. It collects no data.

There is no account and no sign-in.
There are no analytics, no ads and no tracking of any kind.
Your progress (answers, cards, lessons read, mock results, bookmarks, tasting notes) is stored on your device.
If you turn on iCloud sync in the app, that progress is also stored in your own private iCloud database, which only your Apple Account can read. The developer has no access to it.
A photo you add to a tasting note stays on your device and, with sync on, in your own iCloud. The app asks for camera or photo access only when you add a photo.
Tilting the phone on a style card uses the motion sensor on the device only; nothing is recorded.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
